Quotes, Pricing and Payment

How quotations are calculated, what can change a price and what customers should expect before confirming a booking.

Quotations are based on the collection and delivery locations, journey distance, expected time, item quantities, van space, loading assistance, stairs, lifts, parking, carrying distance and any special timing requirements.

Complete information helps us provide a more accurate quotation before the booking is confirmed.

The most suitable pricing method depends on the job. Some straightforward collections may receive an agreed quotation, while jobs with uncertain loading times, multiple stops or complex requirements may be priced differently. The applicable pricing basis will be explained before confirmation.
No. Where the Congestion Charge applies to the planned journey, it is considered within the agreed quotation rather than added later as an unexpected separate fee.
The price may need to change where the actual job is materially different from the information provided. Examples include extra items, undisclosed stairs, unavailable lifts, long carrying distances, additional stops, excessive waiting or items that require more people or time than originally described.
Payment expectations will be stated when the booking is offered. Depending on the job, payment or a booking payment may be required before the service date. Any remaining balance must be paid according to the agreed booking terms.
Any applicable tax treatment will be shown clearly on the quotation or invoice. Customers should rely on the total shown in the formal quotation rather than calculating additional amounts themselves.

Loading Help and Carrying

Choosing the appropriate amount of loading assistance and understanding what help is included.

Yes, where loading assistance has been included in the agreed service and the items can be handled safely by the booked number of people. The quotation should confirm whether one-person or additional loading assistance has been allowed for.
A one-person service normally means one driver assists with the transport and agreed loading. It is suitable where items are manageable by one person or where the customer will provide capable assistance at both addresses.
A two-person service should be considered for heavy, bulky, awkward or numerous items, as well as moves involving stairs, longer carrying distances or situations where the customer cannot provide suitable help.
Yes, customers may provide suitable loading assistance where agreed. Anyone helping must be physically capable, available at the required time and willing to follow safe lifting and loading instructions.
Items can normally be carried to an agreed accessible location, subject to the booked service, safe access, item size and the number of people available. Full placement, installation or room rearrangement is not automatically included.
Packing or protective materials are not automatically included. Customers should ask in advance where boxes, wrapping, protective covers or packing support may be required.

Stairs, Lifts, Parking and Access

Access details can materially affect the time, labour and practicality of a move.

Yes, subject to the item size, safe access and suitable loading assistance. The number of flights and whether stairs apply at collection, delivery or both must be disclosed before quoting.
Please confirm whether a lift is available, working, large enough for the items and reserved where necessary. Service lifts may require advance booking or access through a separate loading entrance.
Customers should provide accurate parking information and, where required, arrange permits, visitor parking or loading-bay access. Any known parking costs or restrictions should be shared before the quotation is prepared.
A longer carrying distance may increase the time and labour required. Please estimate the distance from the nearest legal loading position to the property entrance before booking.
Yes, provided the customer supplies entry instructions, access codes, concierge details, loading rules and any required booking references before arrival.
Where undisclosed access issues materially increase the time, labour or risk of the job, additional charges may apply or the service may need to be adjusted. Items will not be carried where it cannot be done safely.

Furniture Collections and Marketplace Purchases

Information needed for sofas, beds, wardrobes, tables, appliances and purchases from private sellers.

Yes. We can consider suitable furniture and item collections from Facebook Marketplace and other private sellers. Customers must confirm that the purchase is complete and the seller is expecting the collection.
Yes, particularly for sofas, wardrobes, beds, tables, appliances and other bulky items. Approximate height, width and depth help us assess van space, access and loading requirements.
Photographs are strongly recommended and may be required for bulky, unusual or heavy items. They help us assess condition, shape, access requirements and whether dismantling is likely to be needed.
Yes, subject to retailer collection rules, suitable vehicle access and the item being ready. Customers must provide the collection reference, store address, collection window and the name authorised to collect.
Limited dismantling may be available where agreed in advance, but it is not automatically included. Furniture should normally be dismantled before arrival where it cannot be moved safely or fit through the available access while assembled.
Assembly is not automatically part of a standard collection and delivery. Limited reassembly may be discussed before booking, subject to the furniture, instructions, time and tools required.
Standard collection does not include a professional inspection, valuation or guarantee of condition. Customers should confirm the item's condition, authenticity, measurements and suitability directly with the seller before collection.
Customers should normally complete payment directly with the seller before collection. Cash handling or purchasing items on behalf of a customer is not part of the standard service.

Removals, Storage Moves and Event Logistics

Questions about residential, student, office, storage and event-related transport.

Small-removal bookings may include room moves, studios, smaller flats, partial-property moves, temporary relocations and moves involving a manageable amount of furniture and belongings.
Yes. We can provide transport to and from suitable storage facilities. Customers must confirm access hours, unit location, lift availability, loading rules and whether trolleys are available.
Yes. We can transport desks, chairs, boxed documents, filing units, suitable equipment, stock and workplace furniture. Larger or specialist office moves require detailed assessment.
Evening and weekend bookings may be available subject to the date, building access, staff availability and the complete moving requirements. Any restricted timing should be disclosed before quoting.
Yes. We support student moves between university halls, shared houses, flats, family homes and storage units, including placement, internship and graduation moves.
Yes, provided the accommodation permits vehicle access and the student confirms reception rules, parking, entry arrangements, room location and any restricted arrival times.
Event logistics may include timed venue deliveries, supplier collections, furniture transport, storage transfers, corporate event transport and planned post-event collections.
Potentially, yes. Multiple collection points can be assessed where the route, supplier timings, item quantities and vehicle capacity are practical. Every collection address and contact must be supplied before booking.

London Coverage and Longer Journeys

Where we work and how selected journeys beyond London are assessed.

We serve Central, North, South, East and West London, including North West, South East and South West London, subject to availability and the requirements of the booking.
Selected longer-distance journeys can be considered. Pricing will reflect mileage, driving time, labour, fuel, tolls, overnight requirements where relevant and the return journey.
Yes, suitable journeys may be available in either direction. Please provide both full postcodes, item details, access information and the required date before requesting a quote.
Yes. Central London work is available, but parking, loading restrictions, congestion, restricted streets, loading bays and building access must be carefully considered.

Booking Confirmation, Waiting and Changes

What confirms a booking and what happens when schedules, access or job details change.

No. Submitting the form is a quotation request. A booking is confirmed only after the service details, price, date and any required payment have been formally agreed.
You will receive the relevant booking or payment information. The booking is secured once all required confirmation steps and payments have been completed.
Waiting time outside the agreed allowance may be chargeable and can affect later bookings. Please ensure sellers, building contacts, storage facilities and venues are ready at the agreed time.
London traffic can be unpredictable. We plan journeys reasonably and will communicate significant delays where possible, but exact arrival times cannot always be guaranteed unless a specific timed arrangement has been agreed.
Changes are subject to availability and the booking terms. Contact us as early as possible. A change may affect the price where the route, timing, staff or original service requirements are altered.
The applicable cancellation terms will be included within the booking conditions. Charges may apply where a booking is cancelled at short notice or where staff and vehicle capacity have already been reserved.
Additional items are subject to available van space, safe loading and sufficient time. They may result in an additional charge and cannot be guaranteed where they were not included in the original quotation.
Booking as early as possible is recommended, particularly for weekends, month-end dates, university moving periods and time-sensitive event work. Short-notice bookings may still be available.

Heavy Items, Restricted Goods and Waste

Items that require advance approval or fall outside our moving and transport service.

Heavy or specialist items must be disclosed before quoting. Pianos, safes, machinery, stone furniture, commercial equipment and unusually heavy objects may require specialist movers, equipment or additional staff.
We do not knowingly transport illegal goods, dangerous substances, unsecured fuel, gas cylinders, explosives, hazardous chemicals, leaking items or anything that cannot be safely and legally transported. Other restricted items may be refused after assessment.
No. Kylah Man & Van does not provide rubbish removal, household waste clearance, builders' waste collection or disposal services. A suitably licensed waste carrier should be used for waste removal.
No. Transporting unwanted items for disposal would fall under waste clearance, which is not a service offered by Kylah Man & Van.
Fragile, valuable or unusual items must be disclosed in advance. Suitable packing, valuation details and specific handling arrangements may be required. Some items may need a specialist transport provider.
These items require advance discussion. Standard van transport does not provide temperature control, and Kylah Man & Van cannot guarantee the condition of perishable or highly sensitive goods.

Quote Form and Photo Uploads

How to provide accurate information and when photographs are useful.

Photographs are optional for straightforward jobs but strongly recommended for furniture, bulky items, unusual access, multiple items and anything difficult to describe accurately.
The quotation form accepts suitable JPG, JPEG, PNG, WEBP and PDF files. Individual file-size and upload-number limits may apply.
Send clear images showing the complete item, any unusual shape, relevant labels, dismantled parts and access concerns such as narrow stairs or doorways. Avoid sending only close-up images that do not show the overall size.
Include quantities, approximate dimensions, stairs, lifts, parking, carrying distances, time restrictions, fragile items, required dismantling, seller details and anything else that could affect the job.
Yes. Reply to the quotation correspondence or contact us with the missing details. The quote may not be finalised until sufficient information has been provided.
Access can significantly affect the time and number of people required. Accurate information about parking, stairs, lifts, entrances and walking distances helps avoid delays and unexpected changes.
